Nigel Bird – Sea Minor

A cleverly titled blog, but pretty bland by the look of it when I open it.  It has a grey background with lighter grey font for the text.  Some nice ads for publications on the right sidebar.

Probably the best part of this blog has got to be the comments function and it looks appealing to say the least.

What can I say, it’s a single contextual blog, running on a single thread of thought that runs down the page in chronological order.  There are no menus to delve into, no fancy push buttons or dancing icons.  It’s sidebar runs for what seems like a marathon down the page; it gives us everything we need without having to enter other pages.

I’m not so sure on the length of time that this has been going, but it has a fair few subscribers and page views to boot.  I can’t really criticise this blog too much as it far too much popularity than anything I’ve tried to make.  On the underbelly of this blog, there’s the marketing, advertisement and getting the word out which I think you’ve done a remarkable job, Nigel.
